How FileCollect works

FileCollect replaces the back-and-forth of email document collection with a simple three-step process:

Build a checklist of the documents you need from a client. Pick from templates or create your own. Mark each item as required or optional.
Send one link. Your client opens it on any device, uploads files, and ticks items off. No account, no app download, no sign-up.
Files land in your Google Drive, automatically named and organised into folders. Automatic email reminders nudge your client until the checklist is complete.

You can approve or reject each uploaded file. If something is wrong, one click sends it back with a reason, and the client gets a re-upload link automatically.

Google Drive integration

FileCollect connects to your Google Drive with your permission, using Google's most limited Drive access (the drive.file scope). It can only create and manage the FileCollect folder it makes in your Drive. It cannot see, modify, or delete anything else you store there.

This means your files are always in your control. If you stop using FileCollect, every document stays exactly where it is, in your Drive, under your ownership.

Infrastructure and hosting

FileCollect is hosted on EU-based infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit with TLS. We do not store your clients' files on our servers: they stream directly to your Google Drive during upload. Learn more on our Security page.
